Our strategy

Petredec's shipping activities are run as a stand-alone profit centre. Vessels may be utilised by our Trading department or chartered to third parties, depending on the rates achievable and our view of the market. Our fleet frequently changes and we are active in the sale and purchase market as well as being a significant charterer of tonnage on both spot and period basis.

Petredec's expanding fleet of owned vessels covers all sectors of the gas tanker market, from pressurised through to semi-refrigerated, fully-refrigerated and ethylene vessels. We have subcontracted technical and crewing management to our preferred partner Anglo Eastern, a leading professional ship manager with over 600 vessels under management.

Our fleet is run in compliance with the highest Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) standards and are approved in accordance with the latest ISM code and all other current international regulatory and industry requirements.

Petredec's in-house Fleet Management department oversees and liaises with the technical and crewing manager, and also places all Hull and Machinery, P+I and other insurances for our fleet.

Looking ahead

Petredec has completely reshaped its fleet, selling all of our older vessels and ordering 24 new LPG vessels with sizes ranging from 11,000cbm up to 84,000cbm. These are delivering between 2015 and 2017 making Petredec one of the largest gas fleet owners in the world.
